Kalopa Fields Farmstead is a homestead and small family farm in lower Kalopa mauka on the Big Island. Established in 2023, it was born out of the desire to reclaim food sovereignty and take action against climate change by learning to address soil health, alongside the next generation. Many of our offerings are inspired by our Mexican and Eastern European heritages.

We use regenerative and organic farming practices, including producing compost enhanced with manure from on-farm livestock, using biochar for improved soil health, replacing invasives with native plant species where possible, and using organic pest control methods. We strive for a zero-waste approach, from our farming to homestead practices.
