Meet Sonya Kozmidi , the face and hands behind Yaya's Goods. Born in Soviet Russia in a greek family Sonya, has a unique life story. At age 62, she immigrates to Kona, Hawaii to be close to her daughter and grandchildren. With her entrepreneur spirit and love to prepare foods, she begins to share fermented vegetable traditions of Eastern Europe with Big Island community. She greets you with her endless smile and delicious samples of health filled treats at farmers markets throughout the island.
